About Us
Jennifer has a degree in Psychology and began her professional animal career in 1993 working as a veterinary technician. Through her twelve year career in veterinary medicine, she acquired extensive experience in animal health, emergency and shelter medicine and it was here that she was immersed in the world of homeless dogs. It was when she adopted her first dog, and aggressive German shepherd dog named Dizzy, that she first had the opportunity to work with world renowned dog behavioral specialist Jay Livingston. It was during this internship that she realized she had a gift and an ability to rehabilitate dogs that had been deemed lost causes.

With over 18 years of behavioral training experience, Jennifer has trained and educated thousands of dogs of all breeds with wide-ranging behavior issues. She is accomplished in transforming all areas of canine behavior, including aggression. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Jennifer relocated to southern California eight years ago and launched her own training and canine behavior modification company.  She prides herself on combining her expert understanding of canine behavior with a calm, patient and clear teaching approach that is dog friendly, brings quick and reliable results, and last a lifetime.  In addition to providing comprehensive and customized training programs for dogs and their families, Jennifer continues to work nationwide with no-kill shelters and humane societies. Additionally, she has considerable experience in training Service Dogs for the disabled, personal protection training, agility and Therapy Dog and Canine Good Citizen certification. Jennifer is also the on-call behaviorist for various animal rescue organizations in southern California and actively participates in continuing education on canine behavior and positive training methods.
Gavin has followed in his mother’s footsteps and is also a true lover of animals! In addition to helping to educated and train rescue dogs, Gavin also enjoys devoting time to his horses, chickens and cat. He is very compassionate to all living things and never passes up the opportunity to help any critter in need. And during his daily activities, whether it is learning to read or write, playing baseball or riding his bike, his own dog, Riata, is frequently present. Gavin said it best when he stated “I love dogs so much because they want to learn all the things we can teach them, but they also can teach us a lot, too.”
